Materials: Copper sheet, nickel sheet & wire, enamel, silver bezel, sterling silver chain & findings

Statement: XoXo, Be Nine is a play on the phrase “Be Mine.” The necklace contains nine charms, all of which are hand formed with the hydraulic press or dapping blocks. These domed shapes were custom enamled and bezel set on hand-sawed nickel backings. I created this charm necklace with the intention of improving my bezeling skills while simultaneously advancing the creativity involved with my domed shapes and custom backings. This evolution of form project allowed me to establish better finishing skills (polishing, sanding, filing, soldering jump rings, etc.) while also allowing me to continue to practice my love for bright, colorful enameled elements. I wanted my piece to embody my love for custom gifts and acts of love. This charm necklace is for me, and attests to my hard work this term in Production.
